Built on 15 Years of Automotive Engineering
Mr. Fred is a certified automotive technician and the founder of Das Reich Autos, a mobile vehicle repair service operating across Accra and Takoradi. With a career spanning over fifteen years — from his apprenticeship at Yehowa Nhyira Engineering in Kasoa through to his current role as technician at the Minerals Commission of Ghana — Mr. Fred brings a depth of hands-on experience that underpins every service Das Reich Autos delivers.
Mr. Fred holds Certified Motor Vehicle Technician status at levels I, II, and III from the Commission for TVET Ghana — the country's professional standard for automotive technicians. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at Takoradi Technical University, on track for First Class Honours. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Imperial College of Mines and Safety, reflecting a commitment to professional practice that extends beyond the workshop.
His formal diagnostic credentials include certification in Advanced Automotive Diagnostics Systems and 5s Workshop Safety Management from the Institute of Automotive Engineering — a programme covering engine management, emission control, electronic systems, oscilloscope diagnostics, PicoScope, ECU and key programming, and wiring diagram interpretation. He additionally holds authorised dealer in-service training on Chevrolet, MG, and Isuzu vehicles from MAC Autos & Spare Parts Ghana.
Before founding Das Reich Autos in 2023, Mr. Fred spent over six years as an automotive electrician — work that gave him an unusually deep understanding of vehicle electrical systems before he added full mechanical training on top. That combination — strong auto-electrical foundations plus comprehensive mechanical certification — is what allows Das Reich Autos to diagnose and repair the full spectrum of modern vehicle faults, not just the mechanical ones.
In his current principal role at the Minerals Commission of Ghana, Mr. Fred is responsible for the full maintenance, service, and repair of the Commission's vehicle fleet — conducting inspections, completing service schedules, coordinating with the transport administration, and mentoring junior technicians. Das Reich Autos is an extension of that same professional standard into the private client market.
He is also an active volunteer with Safety Campaign Ghana, providing technical support for safety mentorship training and managing participant activities in virtual sessions — an indication of the broader professional engagement he brings to automotive engineering.
